MANCHESTER ROAD RACE MAKES $100,180 IN DONATIONS

The Manchester Road Race is making $100,180 in donations to 19 charitable and non-profit organizations from the proceeds of last year’s Thanksgiving Day run. The annual event raises money for many organizations every year. “The biggest bequest—a check for $20,000—will go to the Muscular Dystrophy Fund. Race
organizers have been raising money to fight the crippling disease since the early 1950s.” USA Hauling & Recycling and All American Waste are major sponsors of the event.

“We are so pleased that the Manchester Road race can assist the vital work being done by all of these organizations,” said Dr. Tris Carta, President of the Manchester Road Race Committee. “Thanks to the generosity of our runners, sponsors, volunteers and supporters, our one-day event benefits the community 365 days a year.”
