It started with a single truck. Founder Guy Antonacci led the way calling his new business Somers Sanitation, named after our home town of Somers, Connecticut. Since then we have grown our fleet, facilities and services, expanding our footprint throughout New England. As we have evolved, one thing remains the same: a commitment to the communities we serve is at the heart of everything we do. In fact, that promise is in our DNA. Today, three generations of the Antonacci family are leading the company and its affiliates into the future, grounded in the guiding principles we’ve held since the beginning: to provide outstanding customer care and innovation delivered by highly trained, knowledgeable professionals.

USA is converting our fleet of trucks from diesel to all-American Compressed Natural Gas (CNG). In order to fuel this fleet, we've built four CNG fueling stations, also accessible to the public, in Hartford, East Windsor, Oakville and New Haven, Connecticut.
We’re harnessing the power of the sun and lowering our carbon footprint by incorporating solar power throughout our facilities, including our state-of-the art natural gas fueling station. We also make use of other environmentally-friendly technologies such as efficient LED lighting to conserve energy while we operate.
USA works to keep construction and demolition waste from ending up in landfills. We repurpose a wide range of materials to create landscaping materials such as red brick gravel, topsoil, concrete and road pavement. Other products that come from our recycling efforts include wood chips, roofing shingles and naturally absorbent animal bedding.
